Janet's Biography

Coldwell Banker Incline Village Realty continues to be the leading real estate company due in part to the hard work and experience of our team of professionals. As an office, we strive to maintain the pulse of our community, both as Realtors and citizens.

My ambition of giving back to our wonderful community and charities includes Sierra Nevada College, Pet Network, Thunderbird Lodge, St. Patrick’s Church, Parasol Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish Foundation, Western Folklife Center, Save the Children, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Disabled American Veterans, and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Living in Lake Tahoe is like living on top of a wedding cake. My Philosophy is simple… I understand and care about the people who ask for my help in acquiring or marketing a home. I handle every phase of the real estate transaction with the utmost skill, attention to detail and professionalism in a timely manner.

As a full time agent with a full time licensed assistant, I have been fortunate to achieve recognition of being Coldwell Bankers top agent in Nevada many times. From 1985 to present Janet has sold over 1,000 properties with over half a billion in sales.

I have received Coldwell Bankers International President’s Elite Award every year since 1988, which is the top 1% of all Coldwell Banker agents worldwide, and lead the Incline Village office as their top individual producer.

Agent Spotlight

Janet Pahl has been in real estate since 1985 and for virtually the entire time has been associated with Coldwell Banker Incline Village Realty (CBIVR). She has enjoyed living in Incline Village since 1978.

Janet was a tour guide when she first moved to Lake Tahoe and visited sites throughout the world, but none really compared with Lake Tahoe.

Since her father was a builder in the Midwest and her mother achieved success in real estate, it was natural for Janet to gravitate toward a career in real estate. That, coupled with a degree in art and interior design, made her a natural for the job.

“Outside of family, your home is one of the most important things in your life,” she said. “Helping people find the perfect home produces a real sense of accomplishment for me and carries the responsibilities of integrity, honesty, knowledge of the market place and good negotiating skills.”

“Getting through the escrow period along with inspections, financing, and contingencies requires special skills as well,” Janet said. “Basically you need to be a wealth of information and share your knowledge of local businesses, churches, schools, restaurants and the service industry. All of that is expected of you.”

Janet is married to Warren Kocmond, CEO of a local business and past president of the Desert Research Institute. Together they have built seven homes in Incline Village, which has added to Janet’s knowledge of construction matters, that may be important to her clients. They also enjoy serving on local boards, traveling, skiing, hiking and boating. Socially they are always meeting friends for great food and fine wines.
